When You Really Need Traffic To Your Website

Every so often we all need to get that feeling that our sites are getting massive amounts of traffic. Not that I am complaining about the traffic to my site. But its still fun to see a nice boom of traffic every once in a while.

So here is what I did:

I went to forums that discuss topics on absolutely nothing. Some forums on MySpace and other places. They are not hard to find.

I posted a topic: "For Men only" and in the article part I wrote: "The Hottest Biz In Town" and posted a link to my site. The next day I checked my stats - My traffic jumped from 140 visitors a day to 475!

The funny part was that you would expect the visitors coming from these forums to stay on the site for less then a second and then go away, This was'nt the case! I found that a great deal of the traffic from these forums clicked through the site...what were they looking for? Hmmmm....

Again do this once in a blue moon, when you really feel that its time to see some heavy traffic....
