Many people want to start an online business. The problem is that so many people have no clue where to start from.

Before getting online, it’s very important to conduct proper market research to see what some of the hot industries are online.

An industry that not many people are aware of is the online gaming industry. So many people play online games and yet have no clue about the money potential hidden within this industry.

Think about the millions of people all over the world – young and old - who play online games! Think about how many kids come home from school and spend hours playing online. Think about how many grown up men come home from work and play for hours online.

Now the question is – how can you turn this into a business?

Many online game businesses are information websites with affiliate programs. These sites usually offer free games to play as well as information about these games and at the same time they promote other high quality games. For example they will have version one for free on site to play and they will promote version two in their affiliate program.

Just remember that there are many sites out there that promote gambling and other illegal online games, you need to be careful.

It’s very important to focus on a niche market as well in the online gaming industry – do you want to market to adults? Boys? Girls?
