Are You Testing Your Marketing?
One of the main challenges that every business faces with is the marketing challenge. People spend so much time getting their start-up set up that when they reach the marketing - they seem to get stuck.Its very important that you are always testing your marketing campaign - to see what is working and what is not. You are not obligated to stick to one marketing method! Here are few tips that will help you test your marketing: 1) Ask your family and close friends what they think of your marketing message. 2) Create multiple campaigns with different copy for each campaign. 3) Market to different age groups; baby boomers, young adults etc...see who responds better. 4) Create a marketing campaign for men and a separate one for women. It just so happens that women do a lot of online shopping .... 5) Test the different online channels: Social media, SEO, Google ads... Sometimes you may be surprised what actually is working. How do you know where you should start focusing your efforts? The answer to this question should be: From where ever you are generating sales. However we know that sales don't come in that easily and their is usually some kind of interaction before the sale. So where to focus? Where ever you are getting a response from. "The response" creates the interaction between you and potential customers. (How you respond to a question, complaint etc.. is something else and we will talk about that this upcoming week)
