Writing Reviews On Products and Companies - To Get More Traffic

This site is mainly focused on entrepreneurship and how to drive traffic to a website. Yet every so often I do write up some reviews on products and new web based businesses. These products or companies were either mentioned in the media or they are 'popping' up a lot in the social media world.

However I have found that this can be a great way to generate traffic especially from the search engines. A few of the web based start-ups that I wrote about here - I am getting many visits from the search engines based on different keywords that people are typing in to learn more about these start-ups other then from their sites alone.

Many of these start-ups are new and many of them do have a unique product or service and in addition to that since they are relatively new there is not much information about them in the search engines. This allows you to strategically place yourself well within the search engines based on the keywords that people will type in when searching for more information about these start-ups.

When one start-up saw they were getting some traffic from my site - they were interested in maybe setting up some kind of JV.....

Now if you are going to write something about Facebook or Digg chances are that no one will find you in the search engines. It needs to be about something new and something unique!
