Old Marketing - vs - New Marketing - Part 2
After you have watched the video in part 1, now its time to explain a little better what are the differences between the old marketing and the new marketing. The old marketing There was a time when internet was not that popular,(or at least people thought it would never get anywhere...) In those days marketing was focusd on as we would call it today "offline marketing" This included: Networking events, trade shows, direct mail, post cards, seminars, telemarketing campaigns...It was a strategic battle to put yourself first and directly in front of your customer. The New Marketing Today things are different. Yes, many of these marketing tactics are still the same and effective, but today - whether we like it or not - The search engines control or I should say have a great impact on the customers decision. This is why every company should be focusing on building their reputation online. When a customer will search for you in Google - the results will speak for itself. The new marketing is focused on Blogging, PPC, search engine marketing, social networking, forum marketing, article marketing.... In business we need to adopt ourselves to the changes that are happening in the world. Its always good to be ahead of the ball then stuck somewhere in the back of it.
