Local Business Marketing - Discovering Treasures in Your Local Market.

Last week some one was complaining to me that its to hard to build a business where he was living. He mentioned that he is considering moving to a different area because "there" it will be easier....

Entrepreneurship has never been about where it has always been about who.

A few years ago I head guru Randy Gage say that building a business local helps you reach "outside" markets...but you must always focus first on your local market. Getting known in your local market will help you get your name out there much faster then trying the other way around. Becoming popular in your local market will help you create leverage to reach more targeted markets.

Two very powerful tools you must you use when marketing local:

1) Social media marketing

-LinkedIn

2) Google Adwords:

-You can either target your ads to Google or content sites.
