Effective Lead Generation: Telemarketing Combined with Social Media Marketing
If you are a running a lead generation campaign - and you haven't picked up the phone once - then you could basically kiss your lead generation campaign goodbye.Lead generation campaigns are only effective if you can get someone on the phone. If there is some sort of interaction going on with a prospect - it's critical to get on the phone as soon as possible with that prospect. Most people let the "conversation" drag on for ever and they eventually lose the prospect. Don't be a beater around the busher. I run many lead generation campaigns for leading Israeli Export companies and it's always fascinating to see how they get on the phone immediately when we generate a lead for them via social media. The real conversation happens on the phone...Duh! The most effective platform for lead generation is LinkedIn. Don't waste your time on Twitter. Facebook is cute...but at the end of the day LinkedIn is by far the the most effective platform for lead generation. LinkedIn Lead generation tips Profile: Prospects on Linkedin will first check out your profile: 1- Make sure your profile is 100% complete 2- Make sure to get recommendations 3- Strive for more then 500 connections 4- Share as much professional information as possible about yourself Groups: 1- Join relevant groups. This means that if you are targeting Russia then join relevant Russian business groups. 2- Promote your information via the groups discussion. Write words that can sell and they will get people to click on your article. 3- Upload articles about your company to Scribd and promote the link from Scribd via the News section in the group. 4- Every four - five days - follow up with another post. Just change the title. Consistent promotion is critical!
