Launching The First Internet World-Wide TV Guide

A few days ago I received an update from an internet based start up company that we have been raising capital for (and has been advertised to the group in the past). What they are planning to do with their already successful website could bring them into the top 100 websites worldwide, if not the top 50 !

Market Internet television will grow to its full potential from today's 3,000 stations to tens of thousands within the next few years.

Problem Definition No one today can give you global search results for TV programming. Example: Where can I watch online the Giants game tonight? Where can I watch Madonna's concert on Thursday?

Opportunity To allow users to find all Internet TV programming and allow them to watch it in our website. To be the first World-Wide Internet TV Guide. The TV guide was conceived as a result of listening to our users, as one of the most frequently asked questions to our help desk has regularly been in the likes of "Where can I watch the Manchester United game tonight?"

Competition No direct competition at this time but timing is important since this is a real need that will be filled. Most other properties simply offer links to online TV Stations and not the corresponding programming. They do not offer social networking tools and do not have user communities. Our user community already includes hundreds of thousands of registered users from all over the world.

Our vision We'll tell you at what time you can watch the Raptors game online. We will send you a reminder prior to the game and we will allow you to invite your friends to watch it together with you. You will be able to chat with them in real time while you and your friends watch the game together. THIS IS THE FUTURE!!!

Can we do it? We are currently servicing 20 million page views a month already helping people find the rich media content they are looking for. This is without PR, advertising, no press releases, no biz dev office and with very little resources. We have already established ourselves among the top websites in the world providing Live TV. This, coupled with our proprietary aggregation video engine is a very powerful media platform. We have the business and technology experience and we are skilled in the art to make it happen fast.
