A lawyer since 1997, Erez Modai was the first native Israeli to be admitted to the International Section of Israel Aerospace Industries (formerly Israel Aircraft Industries - IAI).

There Erez engaged in over 1,300 hours of face to face negotiations with entities such as Boeing, Sikorsky, SAP, Pratt & Whitney, Bell, Oracle, EADS, Sun, British Aerospace, governments and authorities in some 30 countries.

Deals included a wide variety of international transactions, mainly concerning hardware and software-embedded systems in the Aerospace and Defense field, including development, sale, purchase, lease, services (maintenance, upgrade), commercial cooperations, acquisition of equity, etc. affording considerable experience in contractual protection of IP, knowledge transfer, technological co-operations and much more.

Erez was responsible for all transactional aspects of IAI’s ERP project and program as well as any procurement of hardware or software in IAI. Later the focal point for IAI’s VP Purchase, Logistics and Quality Organization and responsible for all contractual aspects (tenders, RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) of concentrated purchase of goods, supplier quality management services, etc.

All this gave Erez tremendous experience in intelligent, profitable procurement.Erez is a regular lecturer at the Union of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and the Institute of Export and International Cooperation as well as at Hamil – the Israeli Center for Management.

He is the author of "Commercial International Agreements", and "Things You Need to Know about Non-Disclosure Agreements", all part of the Lawyer in Soft Cover series. Erez's articles have appeared in "The Exporter" – a periodical of the Institute of Export and International Cooperation and in HamilMail – the newsletter of Hamil – the Israeli Center for Management.Erez holds an MBA degree from the Tel Aviv University Executive MBA Program.
