How To Get Your First Check From Google - Part 1

This week I received my first check from Google.

About a year ago I decide to throw up on this site a few Google ads to see what would happen. Between 15-20 pages on this site (out of 700!) got the ads and then I never checked up on them since. ....

As an affiliate marketer I always ignored Google adsense - Now that I got my first check from Google - you'll be seeing me talking more about Google Adsense.

What size ads should you be using?

In the Google AdSense Ad Formats page you'll find many different sizes and types of ads to use. Based on my research the best size ads to use are the 336x280 text ads. In the last few days I've been using these ads and they've been getting clicks.

Your ads should be going up on a content based website. One or two articles on your site is not going to do it... You need give people a reason to stay on your site. Lots of content gets people clicking around and staying on your site.

The more your ads "blend" in with your content the better. In your Google Adsense interface you can adjust the color of your ads to the color of your website.

Also I really like the new Google Adsense interface. It's very easy to track your ads and how they are performing.

The more I dive into this - the more I'll be able to share valuable information!
