Run Your Business Like You Are Running a Rock Band

Today I was watching a sales video that was produced around 20 years ago by Inc magazine.

This was a short video where they were interviewing small business owners and seeking advice and the secrets that make them successful.

It was a great video and towards the end they asked one guy what's his secret and here is what he said:

"..I use to run a club/bar and we would always invite rock bands to come an play for our guests. I would always find myself re-inviting the bands that would have a great time while they were playing, these were the bands that would go over time and just simply have good time and lots of fun doing their work. I learned from these rock bands a powerful lesson: When you are working make sure you are having fun. Just like these rock bands - they were having fun and excited about their work that it had a great impact on our guests as well and more people would show up the next week. The rule is simple: The more exciting and fun you make your work - the more people will want to do business with you and the more people will want to do business with you - the more money you will make!.."

So while you are running your business - make sure you are making it fun... and it can't hurt to go overtime!
