How To Get a Better Response In Your Marketing Campaign
Over the past few months I've been running a few marketing campaigns for several clients (and for myself) and I would like to share with you some tips that will help you generate a better response for your marketing campaigns.
These tips are based on different comments I recieved from those who responded to the campaigns:
1- If you are accepting payments - make sure that you are using Paypal as your checkout. Many people told me they would not of made the payment online if there was no Paypal option.
2- Testimonials: use testimonials in your campaigns. This is probably your most powerful weapon! When you use a testimonial make sure that you have a full name of the person giving the testimonial.
3- Sales page: if you are promoting a service or product - use one page for doing this. This keeps the prospect focused. The moment they have to start clicking around on your site - you will loose them. The testimonials must be on this sales page as well.
4- Take the "I" out your campaigns..no one cares about you....Always use You.
5- Posting once is not enough. Just like it takes somewhere between 7 to 9 follow up emails to close a sale , the same here with posting on the web. The more people will see it the better.
6- Split test different campaigns. The best place to do this is on Linkedin groups. Test different copy styles and see what generates a response.
Remember the AIDCA!
AIDCA stands for:
A – Attention
I – Interest
D - Desire
C – Conviction
A – Action
AIDCA is how to bring out the message in your sales letters/brochures:
This is how it works:
1] Get your readers attention – Create an effective headline
2] Subtitle – Get them interested, this should be done by getting straight to the point, for example: “Learn how you can drive traffic to your website”
3] Desire – the reader needs to have a desire to read your sales letter or brochure… the reader wants to know one thing: “what’s in it for me?”
4] Conviction – This is where the key points to your marketing message should appear.
5] Action - This is where you are calling your reader to take action. You need to be very clear and straight forward, for example: “Sign up now and get the $20 discount today…!”
Good luck on your next campaign!
