Here are the three main reasons why I like article marketing:

Establishes you as an expert - When people read your article and they like it and they end up clicking on a link in the resource box leading to your website - this has created a warm or hot visitor to your website. They have been pre-sold in the article and in the long run this visitor will most likely come back and and become a follower. Also you have a greater chance that someone will pick up your article and promote it - this will really help to get your name out there. Many many times I have been mentioned in newsletters and other blogs because of people who found my articles on article directories.

Search Engines - Very simple: Optimized articles on article directories show up on the first pages of Google very fast.

Virtual Real Estate - The more space you own on the web - the more traffic you will get. Don't put all of your traffic resources into one basket.
