Another look at Social Media Marketing
I would like to take a different approach to Social Media marketing. Its seems that everyone is very much focused on how to get Social Media traffic to convert like it does with Google and the other various search engines.
How about this – why not focus on social media marketing so that it converts better offline!
What does this mean?
When ever we hear about a new product, business, service or what ever it may be, what is our first action that we take?
We check out Google to learn more.
The results in Google will give us some indication about this product, business or service that we just heard about. The Google results, on many levels will effect our decision as to whether or not we will purchase this product or service.
Social media sites rank at the top pages of Google [and the other search engines as well]. If you are active in Social Media; forums, blogs and social networks the results of your social media activities will appear on the first pages of Google.
Therefore when someone hears about your product, service or business the first step they will probably take is to check Google to learn more. The more positive results they will have about you, then the easier it will be for them to make a decision.
As you are marketing via social media don’t just focus on the online traffic – have in mind the offline traffic as well.
